My Students
I teach in the Digital Media and Literacy Center (DMLC). It just recently got converted from a regular library to the DMLC. There are over 800 3rd-5th grade students that I teach during a 6-day schedule. I want to challenge them with STEAM activities as well as with reading. The kids really enjoy coming into the DMLC. They never know what their next challenge will be. They are so excited and eager to learn, especially when doing hands-on activities.
My Project
We currently have 6 drones that we use in our classroom and we need these supplies to keep them running. The current batteries don't last very long so it will come in handy to have extra batteries on hand. The propellers break too, so having replacement propellers on hand will keep us in the air. The landing pads will be fun for the students to be able to code the drones to try to land on them. The drones are a very fun and educational tool to use, but with tools like these, there are always some accidents that happen.
