My Students

Our students are energetic learning machines with some significant learning and physical needs. As students, we love to move, learn. and interact in many ways.

We are a life skills special education classroom in a lower income community.

Students come to school every day needing help with basic life needs and academic needs.

Our classroom has come together and functions as a community of learners. We also pride ourselves in being a family and supporting our fellow neighbors.

We appreciate all the support we get from our school, parents, ​and community.

My Project

We use task boxes to create independent learning opportunities for our Life Skills students. The items that we will be purchasing will enhance our current task boxes and keep our growing our curriculum. The clothespins will aid in matching and identifying colors, fine motor building, and pincher grip development. The pom poms will go along with an order filling task box. The pom poms will be matched to a color card to fill a candy shop test tube to match. In our Life Skills Classroom, we use a lot of velcro to assist in keeping all of the little pieces accessible.
