Keep On Rollin'!

My students need a tricycle and a scooter.

I am a Kindergarten Teacher in a Title 1 school with approximately 600 students. I have 23 kindergartners in my class.

Many of my students live in apartment complexes where there is not a lot of room to play outside, much less, safely ride a tricycle or scooter.

Currently, we have a great new tricycle track that was generously donated by the school’s PTO. Now, my students need to release some energy and improve their motor skills with some new tricycles and scooters. I would like at least one tricycle and one scooter as soon as possible. Students will learn to take turns and burn some rubber with these new vehicles! With some volunteer help and signs, they will learn to read and follow directions from the street signs that will be set up around the trike track. Students will also learn to take good care of the bikes so that we can keep them around for future students to use. This is a great opportunity to help our students get fit and healthy. We want to keep them moving and help make their futures bright!

I want them to "Keep On Rollin'" throughout the school year and help them get improve their skills and learn the importance os sharing and taking turns. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated!
