As a teacher in a low income school, my students are faced with various challenges on a daily basis. Not only in the classroom but outside school as well. With some students being stressed by what happens away from school, I encourage an environment that makes learning fun.
Each child in my classroom enjoys learning and celebrating their accomplishments.
Even though they come from varied backgrounds they do support each other and learn from each other. They are provided with group work, individual work, partners in order to reach their needs. I so look forward to each year with new students ready to learn.
My Project
These labels will be used by my students to keep their work organized during center rotations. Each student rotates to three different stations each day (computers, student led and teacher led). These centers allow the students to complete assignments on their current level. This allows students to gain understanding of concepts to move them forward to the next level.
Labels are applied in their journals to show the station they are working.
This allows for their journals to be organized so when administrators, or others, review their work they can immediately tell what type of work they should be seeing.
