My Students

Our school has the following offerings for students in Grades 6-8: Jazz Band, Beginning Band, Percussion, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble.

Most of my students do not have the resources to purchase accessories that would make their performance more true to what the composers had in mind.

In addition to a more authentic performance, it will help them to achieve higher ratings when they go to festivals

My students generally take good care of school equipment, so it is a joy to be able to provide them with new tools to help them make music.

My Project

These materials will help my students take better care of their brass instruments, so that they will better be able to make good music with them. The repair kit will enable me to take care of minor repairs on all wind instruments that would otherwise land their instruments in the shop for several days.

The goal is to keep the instruments in their hands, and in good working order.

Small repairs, like replacing felts, and corks, and putting springs back into place can be done in-house to prevent extra trips to the repair shop that are often costly and time-consuming.
