Keep Kids Learning with a Distant Learning Project
Help me give my students a solar generator, seed starter trays, peat pellets, and more so they have the ability to learn how to plant, care for and harvest their own food!
LCA is more than a tuition-free K–12 online public school option available for students throughout Michigan. We are a new school as of the 2018-2019 school year!
It's also a tight-knit school community offering all the services and resources needed to create a well-rounded student experience.
Our student body is very unique as they embrace all students and teachers. Help us to build a stronger school by building a stronger community and relationships among our students throughout the year.
My Project
Today's learning may look a little different than the way everyone has been accustomed to learning but that means we also can make learning meaningful in the home more then ever before!
I am asking for materials to help students learn about the fun behind planting from seeds to harvesting and putting food on their table.
I am asking for planting pods to allow students the ability to watch seeds as they sprout and grow. We will explore how the root system as well what all the parts of a plant do. Students will learn about different plants are used for and how to care for plants as well as what they need to survive as well as what they give us. This is about the life cycle and now more than ever is a great time to learn about how to self sustain.
