My classroom is full of 18 energetic kindergartners! These boys and girls are a diverse group of 5 & 6-year-olds. Some come from single-parent homes and others live with both parents. Some of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch and do not have many advantages financially. When we come together in the classroom, no matter our race, or financial status, my students respect one another and celebrate each other. They amaze me every day with how quickly they absorb information and how they apply new knowledge. They like to move and are definitely hands-on learners. These young children are creative, compassionate and they love to come to school every day.

These boys and girls love new experiences and they are excited to show what they know and help one another. Our class is filled with children who have a great capacity for compassion and kindness and they are respectful of individual strengths and helpful with the needs of others. Let's provide them with meaningful learning opportunities while they're home.
My Project
We use whiteboards in our classroom for everything, word manipulations, directed spelling and math show & share. The boys and girls love to read nonfiction but it is often difficult to find good options on the Kindergarten/First grade reading level. Help me give my students LCD tablets to practice their letter formation on and hands-on activities to help us solve addition & subtraction equations!
My goal during Distance Learning is to build the link between what they are doing at home to our discussions and focused attention during our MS Team meetings using the highest quality of educational resources and hands-on nonfiction magazines, LCD tablets, and quality skill-building experiences on-line.
