My Students

I am lucky enough to be one of the 3rd-grade​ literacy teachers at my school! My students are 8 and 9 year olds that come from all different backgrounds, but no matter what their home life is like all my students love to listen and read a good book. Each year I get to meet around 50 new students and get to share my love of reading with them. My students love to sit on the floor during various parts of the day that way they are a part of the action that is taking place. I love being able to have all my students close together in one area to ensure that they are all engaged and a part of the lesson.

My Project

My students are 3rd graders who love to sit on the floor during various parts of the day. They enjoy being close to their peers as they are working and also being close to me while I'm reading so that they can see the pictures. This classroom rug will be the perfect spot for my students to sit and listen to a good book or to come sit on during their independent reading time.

Over the summer the carpet was removed from my room and nice new flooring was put down and my students will need a comfortable place to sit during various carpet times, this rug will be the perfect addition to our classroom.
