I have a great class mix this year. While my students are super sweet they are also very active. I have more boys than I do girls and that makes for a fun and exciting classroom. I love teaching and I feel I bring a lot of energy to the table.
I except my students to "put pen to paper" everyday and every year this gets more and more difficult.
If they are not focused, then this is an impossible task. In each class there are many students who find it hard to sit still for 90 minutes. As I do. I ask that you please help me to give my students a tool that will allow them to move and still sit and complete their work.
My Project
After teaching for 14 years, I have embraced the changes that are required for a effective classroom. Still, I need a management tool for my students to channel their energy and help them to remain focused. I have chosen to include fidget bands that connect to the bottom of the students desks to my classroom management plan.
Fidget bands allow students to continue to move while doing their work.
Some students in my class tap their feet on the floor making noise that disrupts the learning process. Others tap their feet on the desk on front of them which shakes that desk causing the student in front of them to feel uncomfortable. The bands would solve these issues without having to ask a student who has trouble sitting still to stop moving.
