This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The best way to learn is by doing! Our students grow in leaps and bounds with hands-on activities and open exploration.

Students at our school are hungry for knowledge.

Every day my students come into our classroom, ready to achieve and learn all they can. While many of our students do not come from the most stable of homes, they refuse to let their circumstances hold them back. They have an amazing need to learn, and they are excited to come to school every day.

My Project

Most of my students have never left the city and enjoyed nature.

"There is no Wi-Fi in the forest, but I promise you will find a better connection".

I am planning this trip to give them the opportunity to be able to unplug from their electronics, step away from their everyday stress, and be able to reconnect with each other while learning about the outdoors. This is an opportunity they may never have again.

My kiddos are students who are fascinated by the world outside their small area of the city. They wonder about the things they have never seen, and new experiences bring them great joy.
