My Students

My gifted students LOVE learning and are ready for a new challenge! These elementary students are from diverse backgrounds but they all thrive as critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers! They love to work with each other and use higher level thinking skills. I want to encourage collaboration and help each student to reach his or her maximum potential.

My 1st-5th grade students have been identified by their strengths in the areas of mental ability, achievement, creativity and motivation and they crave collaborative experiences.

These students have the ability and the determination to be the CEOs and innovators of the future but they need hands-on experiences to fulfill their potential. They also need to strengthen the interpersonal skills that are essential in today's workplace.

Our school is a Title 1 school of approximately 600 students. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

Breakout EDU kits are like escape rooms for the classroom. Students work together to solve critical thinking challenges to unlock a variety of locks to open boxes. Inside each box are increasingly complex problems for students to solve. Breakouts encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and authentic problem solving.

I will be able to personalize the activities for my students in different grade levels to make the challenges meaningful for all.

Having two sets of these high interest materials will enable students to have an increased amount of participation and involvement. The online platform access will allow us to utilize digital educational breakouts.
