Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our favorite chant is, "In our class, we try and try again!"
My students come from a high poverty school district where one hundred percent of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
The challenges that face them at home are almost insurmountable.
Curious, excited and willing to work hard, my students love coming to school! They thrive in a creative environment where they help set their learning goals and are provided with multiple ways to learn and solve problems. Hard work is rewarded and relationships are built and nourished. My hope is to instill in each student a lifelong love of learning!
My Project
I can’t wait for kids to have dry erase markers that allow them to plan out art projects, then use the paper and crayons to allow them to carry out their projects. Your donation will encourage my students to use their creativity to make hands on projects that correlates with their math and literacy curriculum. My students will gain experience in working among teams, planning, carrying out a multi step project , and working with colors in negative and positive spaces. My students will use the older crayons to make new ones by melting them. Thank you for helping my students form a lifelong love of art! Together we can!
