My Students

I teach Adaptive Physical Education working with the Autistic Support and Life Skills programs. Half of our class time is spent in the pool exposing our students to various aquatic activities to improve their comfort in the water and increase their fitness levels.

I am looking to expand the experiences for them in the pool and show them there are other ways to enjoy the water besides just swimming.

Please help us obtain this equipment and enrich the aquatics experience of our students!

My Project

Aquatics are a big part of our adaptive physical education program. Living in a lake front community, it is important to expose our students to as many aquatic experiences as we can. By using kayaks in the pool we can introduce them to basic boating skills along with another lifetime fitness activity they can partake in on the water.

Our community provides many chances to explore water sports and other activities on the water.

Please help give our students a chance to experience all our community has to offer.

Building a foundation of lifetime fitness activities for my students is a goal of our program. I want to open their eyes to the many ways they can experience the water, especially the great lake our community is built around.
