Kate's Speech-Language Library for Littles!

My Students

These books will be used to help develop young children's speech and language skills, including: articulation, vocabulary enrichment, receptive and expressive language, and story grammar skills. I work in a rural school district and these resources will be used primarily with my 3 year olds-3rd graders. They get SO excited to engage with books, and these manipulatives help increase engagement and allow me to embed basic concept work (e.g., prepositions, spatial awareness, following directions, descriptive language). I'm so excited to use these with my wonderful students! Thank you!

My Project

These materials will be used to strengthen young children's communication/speech and language skills, including: vocabulary, speech sound development, basic concepts, following directions, early literacy development, and expressive and receptive language skills. The manipulatives that go along with the requested book titles will help students retell stories, sequence events, and describe items. They also increase engagement and provide tactile items for students to enjoy.

These materials can be used across all settings, including: in the child's home, in their classroom, remotely for virtual learning, and during evaluations.
