We have a high school First Robotics team. We are currently comprised of 8 students. They run program to assist peers in need. They provide clothes, shoes, food, toiletries, school supplies, and personal care items free of cost to students. They recently added free laundering facilities.
The items students can access through this program help them fill basic needs and allow them to be ready to learn.
They feel more secure and can utilize the learning environment. Help the kids continue to successfully give a hand up to their peers.
My Project
Karma Korner is a space within the school that was started by our First Robotics team. They found that there was a dire need for the students in our school. Many did not have their basic needs met. They sought to find a way to help their peers.
Kids helping one another; It doens't get any better!
These kids give clothes, tolietries, food, school supplies, and personal care items free of charge to students. No one is turned away. No student is ever identified.
This program allows our students to feel cared for and secure. It allows them to focus on their education and not their personal needs.
