Help me give my students a cultural celebration for their diversity and resilience which helps them feel confident, accepted, and grow an understanding of the world around them!

My Project

When we celebrate cultural diversity at our school and around the world, our students will become more aware and appreciative of the global community that they’re a part of.

Our annual Culture Showcase and Appreciation helps foster their unique culture and identity which allows them to become confident life long learners.

The supplies will helps us showcase the places our students are from like China, Philippines, Mexico, Japan, and the Federated States of Micronesia. Hawaii is the melting pot of many cultures so it is important that we also teach our EL students about Hawaii and the beautiful traditions we share. Lei making is one of those traditions. Combining flowers together making one beautiful lei is like bringing all our students and community together at our Culture Showcase and Appreciation to celebrate and become united as one 'ohana.
