Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a blended classroom, servicing 34 little learners! My preschool students range in ages from ages 3-5, are predominately Hispanic and come from low income families.
Our preschoolers are learning so many wonderful things in our class; from sharing and taking turns to identifying letters and numbers, writing their names and creating a love for reading and learning! They come to school everyday ready and eager to learn. Providing them with the essentials they need to succeed academically is our priority!
My Project
My preschool students will be learning about different artists that have influenced the art world. By providing them with the art supplies needed, students will have the opportunity to listen to stories about influential artists such as Picasso, Kahlo, Matisse and Van Gogh. Students will use the art material requested to create their own works of art inspired by the artists we will be studying.
Giving my students these opportunities to create, be inspired, learn and express themselves through art will help build their confidence and creativity!
