I teach in a wonderful, but large school of over 600 students. Our school is one of 14 elementary schools in the largest school district in New Hampshire. Our students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. We share a love of learning and a strong community. Having quality, interesting and appropriate materials for student use is a constant quest, as is money for resources.
High interest chapter books are the key to inspiring life-long readers.
Students would benefit from being able to read and discuss books that they don't want to put down.
We read chapter books for literature book talks and discussions. Students are always looking for high interest, quality literature that will engage and challenge them. Books in series are especially engaging and encourage students to read multiple titles. These Unicorn Rescue Society books are perfect for 4th grade students.
We need to restock our library with current, high interest titles of hard cover books that will last a long time.
These series and titles will get students hooked on books. Seeing students totally absorbed in a book that they don't want to put down, is one way to foster life-long readers.
