Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! Despite the many challenges they face on a regular basis, they continue to strive to be their very best.
With perseverance and dedication, my students and their families work to attain the best education they possibly can.
They are becoming avid readers and enjoy spending time in the library or listening to the newest picture book. You should see how their faces light up whenever they are fortunate enough to receive a brand new book of their own! Many families look forward to our monthly Parent/Child Book Club event which pairs a captivating read aloud with a fun craft activity. We just love reading!!!!
My Project
We are requesting some basic supplies which will go a long way! Supporting this project will provide multicultural crayons, pencils, toner and a hot laminating machine.
Just the Basics will allow us to create fun, engaging literacy centers for our Parent & Child Book Club event.
Our monthly event allows parents to spend time engaging in literacy activities with students and provides each family with a brand new book. This project in particular will allow the creation of laminated literacy games which each family will get to take home. In order to make this dream a reality, we need Just the Basics.
