My students learn at their own pace. They drive their instruction based on where they are, not where the teacher is teaching. My school is located next to a cow pasture, but we don't just stand around mooing. We are taking charge of our learning and growing by leaps and bounds. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
My students are hard workers. They create, demonstrate, and collaborate! They get the job done when a task is put before them.
My students need scissors, glue, tape, and pencils to get the job done this year.
There is nothing more frustrating than to have a great idea, but no resources to make it happen. Students should not be held back because they don't have something or can't afford something.
Learning is a must. All children should be given the same chance in life. These materials will even the playing field and help my learners grow and meet their goals.
