Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an amazing group of intelligent, hard-working, and kind fourth and fifth graders. They have dreams of going to college, and they deserve every opportunity we can give them.
Our school is a diverse public school in a low socioeconomic, urban area of California.
It is a school-wide Title I school, but we have also received the National Blue Ribbon and California Distinguished School awards. My students take great pride in their school and work together to make it the best school possible.
My Project
My students are in need of some basic supplies for the classroom. They need pencils, erasers, kleenex, and ink for their printer.
As the year goes on, our school tends to run out of money for basic supplies.
Pencils and erasers are essential for everyday assignments. We go through quite a few pencils in week. My students also love to write and publish their writing for all to read. The printer ink will allow them to continue to do this.
This year's flu season has taken a toll on our kleenex supplies. These boxes of kleenex will help us make it though flu and cold season.
