My students need to stay healthy! Help prevent the flu and other illnesses by donating towards sanitary supplies such as hand sanitizers, wipes, and facial tissue.
Pascagoula is a small industrial town in Coastal Mississippi. My students are typically in grades 9-12 and learn anything from Mississippi History, World Geography, and even state tested U.S. History in my class.
My students are curious, savvy, and energetic.
They want what works best for them, and due to the large low-income population in our town, they don't always get it. Despite many challenges, my students work hard to learn and thrive in school. Each is unique and learns in his or her own way. I want to give them options to learn at the optimal level.
My Project
Since I have begun teaching, flu season has been a scary time for teachers and students. One person can end up infecting many others. This causes a disruption in the learning environment.
The flu and other contagious illnesses can result in many missed educational opportunities.
In fact, my first year of teaching I caught the flu myself, depriving my students of instruction for an entire week.
I often purchase Hand Sanitizer, Anti-Bacterial wipes, and Kleenex tissue with my own money. Many times I run out of supplies, so I have requested them in this project. Your help donating to this project will help with keeping my students healthy and in school and would be greatly appreciated.
