Help me give my students an environment to work and find comfort in furniture that fits their needs- just like the child-size chair I selected for them.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a first-grade teacher at Title 1 school located in Jonesboro, Georgia. My students are all from underprivileged communities and our schools do not have funding for additional support materials for the classroom.
My students have a great desire and a love for learning.
Over the years I have learned different methods of teaching my students to their specific learning needs as they all differ.
I would love to provide an environment in which they feel comfortable so they may thrive in our classroom. Creating an ideal learning environment for my students is one of my goals for this school year.
My Project
These flexible seating choices I have selected for my students will provide an opportunity for the students to create an environment where they will be successful in learning. The vibrant colors will be inviting to the students as some of our youngest learners.
I strive to create an inviting environment for my students and these creative seating choices will provide a differentiated experience for my individualistic students.
Studies have shown that providing students with seating in which they can feel free to move about without disturbing others helps them focus and perform better.
We look forward to enhancing our classroom experience.
