Help me give my students primary lined journals to help them become successful writers!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My classroom consist of twenty-three diverse kindergarten students. Many of my students have never attended school before and have had little to no exposure to writing.
Many of my students are from low income families and most are not able to purchase the school supplies that are required, let alone a wish list item.
My students will be learning to write this year. It is important that they are given the appropriate tools to be successful in their writing journey. Providing each student with a Primary Journal is giving them the opportunity to grow their learning and writing skills. These journals will help my students become strong independent writers in the future.
My students may not have a lot at home, but it is my goal to make sure they have all they need in our classroom to be successful everyday!
My students need journals to meet their writing needs. Most of these students have never attended school and are new to learning to write. That is why they need Primary Journals. College lined composition books are not lined for little learners that are learning to write on the lines appropriately. These primary lined composition books are perfect for kindergarten learners. The book uses the red, blue and dotted lines for correct letter formations.
The lines in the Primary Journals will help my students become better writers, by helping them neatly place their ideas on paper and express themselves through writing!
These journals also provide a blank area at the top of the page for students to illustrate their writings.
