In kindergarten, students come from diverse backgrounds and have varying levels of kindergarten readiness. Every day, my students walk into our classroom full of energy, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them. We play, learn, and grow together.

My Project
To develop reading fluency, it is important that students read "just right books" (leveled readers at their reading level) every day. Finding just right books at the emergent and kindergarten level is difficult.
The majority of my students currently read at the guided reading B through F levels.
I am hoping to enhance our just right book room library so they can get more reading fluency practice at their level.
The Creative Teaching Press Learn to Read series is a perfect resource for just right reading. The levels are clearly written on the book, the words are clear, and the books are easy to read and follow.
