My Students

My students are all special and unique in their own way. They are all from different backgrounds and are entering Kindergarten at different levels. They work hard to achieve their goals throughout the day. My students enjoy working in small groups and collaborating with each other.

My students make me smile and laugh every day.

I could not imagine doing anything else in this world. I am blessed and thankful to have the opportunity to be apart of their " first memories" within a school setting.

My Project

These guided reading books will help my students feel successful as they start their journey as first time readers. These books will be geared towards their reading levels and allow students to begin to read them independently. As their teacher I will teach my student to use their sight words taught to help them anchor their reading, decode words to help solve tricky words and follow a pattern across pages. The books will help my students be able to work with partners on their reading level and engage in mini book clubs. Having multiple copies of these books will help promote book talk and discussion within my classroom.
