Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second and third graders come from diverse backgrounds and their needs range from academic to social and behavioral. They also come from loving homes where the parents want their children to have the same opportunities as other students in different communities. Next year, I will be teaching second grade and third grade and it will be my fourth year teaching.
I am so excited to create a learning environment where my students are eager to come to school and learn!
Each and every one of my students walks into the classroom every morning ready and eager to learn despite their struggles. I want to give each and every one of my students every opportunity possible to learn everything they set their mind to!
My Project
I have a classroom full of students who love to read- and not just any type of book- chapter books! I want my students to be able to choose and read different types of chapter books so they can build their fluency, increase comprehension and make connections to their background knowledge to help them become independent readers.
With new chapter books, my students will be able to find a book that can challenge them and help them grow as readers!
My second and third-grade students will love having a more variety of books to choose from to grow their brains!
