Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is over half-way through the year, and we are running out of tissues and pencils. My students have a four hour block of classes, so they often find snacks helpful during their breaks. Many do not get to school in time for breakfast and have stressful lives at home. I try to give them the bare necessities to set them up for success and be as empathic as possible. A pencil, tissues, food, and cleaning supplies can go a long way to help one of my students. I also get many students who join me at lunch, so snacks are nice to have once in awhile if someone doesn't have money or needs tutoring and they don't want to wait in the lunch line.
