The athletes that make up our softball teams are all from our local school district. They are also all girls, aging from 9-14. Our players come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. They learn the skills involved to be competitive softball players. More importantly, we, as volunteer youth coaches, want to instill the character traits of sportsmanship, leadership, perseverance, stamina, and camaraderie. At a time when youth are becoming more sedentary, we want opportunities for our girls to be active, realizing the awesome feeling you get from leaving it all on the field!
The weather is often uncooperative in our area of the country. These portable nets will allow us to practice our hitting skills anywhere! Because they also have a pitching screen, our young players can also work on pitching accuracy.
Practice makes perfect!
Opportunities to practice your swing makes players more confident when they are standing in the box with live pitches. These hitting nets will really benefit our players!
The portability will allow us to take them to our games and use them in cramped, warm up spaces where a batting cage is not available! They will be a great asset!
