My students need a printer. Well, I need a printer to printer homework , newsletters, and parent communication. I also need ink... because what good is a printer without ink.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are at risk of failing to meet the State's academic achievement standards. We are grant funded based on the number of economically disadvantaged students.
My students come to me without some of their basic needs met.
It is my job to fill in the developmental gaps and ensure kindergarten readiness.
I serve 20 children, all of which are free lunch.
My students definitely have a gap in their vocabulary. Research shows children’s vocabulary skills are linked to their economic backgrounds. I work diligently to foster language and early literacy sills.
My Project
I seriously just need a printer and of course ink. Right now I have two broken down printers that work maybe if the stars align. I would use this for printing materials for the children. The printer will allow me to make emergent readers, homework, and home calendars. I print lessons and schedules. I also print signs and labels to organize the class.
A printer is a classroom essential.
Having a working printer would save time for me by allowing me to print in the classroom instead of troubleshooting for thirty minutes figuring out why my printer is "not connecting".
