This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in a working-class neighborhood in the second largest school district in the nation. Our school is very diverse with many different ethnic backgrounds. The students at our school range from being gifted and high academic achievers to students with disabilities. No matter what their specific range of ability is, all of the students love to learn! Students at our school really enjoy science! However, there is little budget for specific equipment needed to help the students learn the standards that are required.

My Project

My students love to learn and explore. We are fortunate to have some technology in the classroom, but we still need a bit more. Little by little, we are adding a few more Chromebooks until each student has one to use in class.

My kids need access to the world outside our classroom.

Having a two more Chromebooks would allow for more students to have independent access to do research projects and create written material that they can be proud of. My students love learning and exploring. With the use of these Chromebooks, they can travel far and wide while practicing skills they will need in the future.
