Help me give my students a few more flexible seating options. The smaller stools that are closer to the floor will allow those in the front to sit lower and those in the back to see easier.
My students are an amazing group of 6th graders. Each year, my goal is to meet the needs of all 150 diverse learners in my classroom. My students come from a wide range of social and economic households, and I have several students who speak multiple languages. As they leave elementary and enter the middle school, setting it is an exciting time for them as they are growing in all aspect of their lives.
Although the students are diverse, they are all 11-12 years old that have the same needs: to be able to learn, grow and flourish in my science classroom and become productive members of society in the future.
My Project
These last few pieces of furniture will complete my flexible seating classroom. These small wobble stools will give students the flexibility to sit closer to the floor and for those students that are in the front to sit at lower desks. This will also allow students at the back of the classroom to see better as well.
Furthermore, these last few pieces will complete my whole flexible seating plan and allow students the opportunity to sit however they feel comfortable.
Since I do not have windows in my classroom, the LED lights will help to create an ambiance that isn't dictated by the harsh fluorescent lights.
