Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are located in a rural community with a high population of ELL students. Many of my students come from households where they are part of the caregivers for their younger siblings. School is a place that they come to be teenagers and interact with their peers.
Because of the size of our school our students are active in many activities and sports so performing well in the classroom is essential to their extra-curricular activities that they enjoy.
It is my goal to ensure that all my students have an equal opportunity to learn in my classroom no matter their background, or their learning ability. I want my students to know how if feels to master learning content in their daily content subjects.
My Project
My goal in providing these resources to my students is to increase their exposure through all things technology. Giving my students an inviting room that will allow them to take pride in the work they turnout. Students will feel welcome in my classroom and less stressed knowing the supplies and resources they need are in their learning area.
These materials will allow students showcase their creativity.
To showcase their work to their peers and their family that will also go beyond the 4 walls of the classroom. They will connect to those in other classes in our school but also those from various areas of the nation and world.
