Help me give my students paint to explore their creativity through painting pictures, alphabet sound teaching tubs to help with making connections to the sound and letters, and animals to make connections during literacy with animals in books.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a group of amazing 3 year olds who are full of imagination and are eager to learn new things. Most of my students speak the English language, but I have two who are English language learners. All of my students try and are very smart kids. They really love whole group discussions and can really tap into a lot of higher order thinking. I enjoy my time with them daily and push them to seek more information every day.
My Project
The paint will help to make pictures that are colorful and focused on their very own perspective. It will also develop their fine motor skills more. The alphabet sound tub will provide items in each that will allow the children to make connections with the letter and its sound by viewing the visual object. The animals will allow them to bring the stories to life during literacy. There are so many books with animals as the main characters.Having the actual animals can further engage them in reading making the experience that much more exciting to he able to make that connection in and outside of the pages of a book.
