My students from Gilbert, Arizona are hard working and determined young women who strive to do and be better than those who have come before them. Playing indoor, and sand volleyball provides our students with a stable sports program that instills leadership skills, enhances communication and team building, and commitment that no one person is better than the team.
Although some of these students come from hardship and struggle, they do not let these extenuating circumstances define their ability to do what they love; play volleyball.
A lot of our girls look to further their education beyond high school and plan on using volleyball as a stepping stone to reach their dreams. Watching these girls play and interact with each other during both indoor and sand volleyball season brings nothing but joy and happiness to our parents, our coaches, our school, and our community.
My Project
Donations for this project will make a difference for our team to improve strength in both girls upper and lower body, since box jumps force you to use every muscle in your body to jump. Box jumps will also improve our girls for both the indoor volleyball season, sand season and their club teams to enhance their chances of being recruited for college opportunities.
Box jumps will also enhance girls jump height and statistics for next season to help us make it to playoffs and win a state championship.
Our students work hard to succeed and win each game. Some of our students rely on sports to take them to higher education, and need every training opportunity they can get. Box Jumps will improve their training, which will improve their season.
Without this training equipment, we are not fully providing the very best for our students. We, as coaches want to provide every opportunity for every girl to succeed and play volleyball both in high school and beyond, but some girls cannot afford to play club and are limited in their potential. I truly believe this will change the game for all of our players.
