My Students

Jumping on a mini trampoline is exercise plus fun! How do your legs and core feel?

I teach elementary physical education for grades kindergarten through fifth grade.

They only get 135 minutes per week of P.E.. We are challenged in that we have about 68% low and economically disadvantaged children. Many of our students have never been on a mini trampoline.

My Project

We will use these mini trampolines in station work where they have a variety of activities and manipulatives to work on and with. In station work, we focus on cardiovascular activities, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, fitness, balance, and challenges. We will also teach them to take their resting heart rate and their heart rate after jumping on the equipment.

I have an average class of 90 elementary students in class with only 2 teachers.

Everyday I challenge myself to make the most of every minute when they are with me. These mini trampolines will provide an opportunity for students to have fun while exercising.
