I have a great group of students who love to learn. They are your average 5th-grade students. They love to read and do projects. They talk a lot because they have so much to share. They love being creative and sharing their work and their interests with each other.
I am lucky that my students are so hardworking and want to do their best on everything.
They push themselves and each other to work harder and be their best. I enjoy being with them every day and watching them grow and mature academically as well as socially.
My Project
These are books that my students have expressed interest in reading, but we do not have access to them at our school. I would like to provide quality literature for my students to enjoy at their leisure. This year we are using a Reader's Workshop model for reading instruction in which the students choose a book of interest to them to read during class. They will use the book of their choice to analyze and discuss literary techniques and standards such as inference, main idea, and using text evidence when writing and discussing literature. This will help them better understand any book they encounter.
