My students need an Instant Writing Center, 30 Writing Spacers, 1 Magnetic Write and Wipe Sentence Board, and 1 set of Write and Wipe Magnetic Sentence Strips.

Our Classroom Safari is ready to go wild in writing - but some needed supplies would help us create some amazing stories...that even Jumbo our classroom elephant would want to eat!!! (Oops - I mean read!)

I want my students to be inspired by the world around them to create stories from their heart. I want them to see that their experiences create the best stories of all. It can be difficult to get students at this age level to write. I am hoping to instill a passion for reading and writing with my little ones this year.

The Instant Writing Center has age-appropriate materials for the students to engage in. Photographs and the use of real images can bring the world into their view. Partnered with whole group instruction, the Instant Writing Center offers step by step guidance in the Writing Process. Seeing my students editing their stories and responding to the world around them will empower them. I can see their creativity going WILD!! The Magnetic sentence strips and board will be used not only for whole group instruction, but also for them to use as a storyboard in their center for their ideas. I plan on putting them on the back of a file cabinet in the center for them to use. The spacers will assist them in keeping their final copies neat and tidy!

Your help will ensure that my students become engaged in the writing process, giving them a deeper knowledge of how to create a story and put their thoughts onto paper.
