Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our beautiful elementary school is located just south of Seattle, Washington. Over the last few years, the school's enrollment has been steadily increasing to almost seven hundred students! The physical education department is fortunate enough to see each and every student at least twice a week. In addition to PE, we offer both before and after school programs to keep our students engaged and healthy.
Our student population is growing!
Our elementary school has a wide array of cultures, which makes it a fun place to teach! Due to this increase of students, our equipment demands are also growing. Our students look forward to PE each day and this equipment will touch the lives of every student.
My Project
We recently received 50 jumbo cups within the last year and realized how awesome they are! Our students are going absolutely crazy to use them. Because of this, we are looking to double our amount of cups so that we may effectively use them during double classes (50-60 students).
These JUMBO CUPS are a great way to increase students cardiovascular endurance.
With these cups, we are able to complete relay races, NASCAR racetracks, and many other activities. These types of engaging activities allow the PE department to teach students about the importance of exercise. In addition, students learn about their cardio respiratory system and muscles. This information and equipment will encourage all students to live a physically active lifestyle and benefit students for life!
