My Project

As a special education teacher I work each year to make may practices better and this year I have dived into the Science of Reading. There are some wonderful Science of Reading materials I want to able to to use with my students on teacher pay teachers. There are hands on activities to help support their reading development.

Providing chapter books to my struggling readers has been a game changer.

I have been so lucky to have gotten wonderful donations from people before and my students have been loving the ability to read "real" books even at their reading level. Their confidence by the end of year is amazing and I so wish people who have given to me could see the amazing impact they have children.
