As teachers in a Title I (low-income/high poverty) school, our students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges our students face daily, it's our calling as a teacher to provide an environment that they feel safe and loved.
Our students are full of excitement, compassion, and love.
They like to be engaged in learning that is fun, exciting, and positive. This is very important to us because many of our students are being raised in single-parent households and all receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. It's our desire to provide a rich, loving environment that our students may grow to their potential. We can't control their home lives, however, we can certainly control their experience during the school day because they deserve it!
Our students will travel back in time to the prehistoric age of dinosaurs. This trip will allow our students to become paleontologists, and experience life like and life size dinosaurs in their simulated natural habitat.
Your donation will allow our students a once in a lifetime firsthand look at life during the prehistoric age of dinosaurs.
Our goal is for this trip to open the minds of our students to a world that existed thousands of years ago and give them a love and appreciation for learning.
We look forward to seeing the expressions on their faces and hearing the excitement in our student's voices as we travel back in time to a distant land.
