“The important thing is to create.” - Pablo Picasso. I have a classroom of students who love to explore, create, and discover through hands-on activities. My students love learning about the outside world and enjoy coming up with projects that exemplify what they read about.
I have a bright, curious, and enthusiastic group of third graders who are always on the lookout for new ways to incorporate their learning into art and projects.
My students are fascinated by the outside world and enjoy studying nature, animals, geography, and history.
We live on a beautiful island with many natural resources that I'd like to make come alive in the classroom. Through project-based learning, students become invested in their learning and want to share their discoveries with each other and the rest of the community.
My Project
My class needs nonfiction books that will help bring Science and Social Studies to life in the classroom. Students love to connect what they're reading to our Science and Social Studies standards. We need books about the earth, storms, climate, landmarks, continents, animal adaptation, Native Americans, and magnetism to relate to content we're learning about in class. Books such as "Inside the Earth", "Ocean Animal Adaptations", and "Brother Eagle, Sister Sky" will help students develop an understanding of scientific concepts and historical people of the past.
Diving into a nonfiction book enables students make real world connections!
Students can go on a journey through the earth, around the world, and back in time to read, learn, and explore!
