My students need a copy of the Peter Rabbits Tale book to read and compare story elements to the movie.

Making learning more meaningful and exciting requires educators to bring learning to real life. Students who practice applying their knowledge of content to real life or hands-on activities perform higher on state assessments.
The students in my classroom lack opportunities to apply their academic content skills in real-life application projects and activities.
Having tactile materials to enhance not only instruction in those areas, but reinforce the integration of science, social studies, and emotional skills with reading and writing, set my students up for more success. Implementing real life activities, inquiry-based learning, projects, and labs requires a lot of time and dedication from the teacher! My students need more experience taking their hands-on learning to another level. Having resources to make this happen is appreciated.
I have always desired to have class book talks and discussions to learn how uniquely each of my students view things within a book and be able to compare it to things we view in a movie. So far, I have nine small reading groups with their own book talks. Each group of students that I meet with bring their own personality and strengths to our discussions.
Getting to have book conversations as an entire class with the same book is a dream, especially since we will have the opportunity to view a movie to compare story elements.
My students are excited that Peter Rabbit is coming out in theaters, but we need these books so that every student can read along and underline important details during our book discussions. My students and I have already had one class book talk experience together and it was a sight to see. I would like for my students to have another book to take home that they can truly appreciate and understand before the school year is out.
