My Students
My students are my kids. They are loving, energetic and very curious about the world. The diversity in the classroom is represented in the varied interests and skill levels of these hard-working second graders. My students are at different reading levels.
Readers take journeys of discovery every time they open a book.
Reading is important for students during the early years. This is the perfect time to help them discover and develop a love of reading. It is crucial that they are in an environment that can provide them with the opportunity to choose from a variety of books.
My Project
Due to the COVID pandemic, students are not able to buddy read, so the books they choose have to be kept at their desks in their book bags. They can select from an amazing variety of books to practice and improve reading skills. Because the books will be at their seats, they have their favorite books right at their finger tips.
Reading throughout the school day will give students frequent opportunities to practice reading skills.
Building the classroom library will provide students on different levels with a variety of options to choose from.
