My Students

My kids are just that, my kids! This is my second year with a lot of them, I taught them in 4th grade before we were sent home to learn. I have been moved to 6th grade and now have many of them again so we are back together again. It breaks my heart to see the holes in the learning of some of these stidents.

My Project

Journaling is important in all areas to help remember concepts, write rough drafts, as well as drawing and labeling science pictures. We write in journals every morning. They get to decide what to write about, some times I get entries about how they are feeling about something that's going on at home, here at school, or just things in general. This is something I have done for the last 20 years, but the last 2 years it has been a priceless tool. I have been able to address issues as they come up, either with parents, the student themselves, or whom ever it needs to be.
