My Students

Middle school is a time of discovery. A time of transition. You step outside of your egocentric self and start to discover the world around you and your influence on it. The curiosity our students bring to science is monumental.

Think back to when you were in middle school.

What an awkward time in our lives. Where do I fit in? Is it all about me? How do things work? What are the variables? Cooperative group work is the single most important skill for middle school science students to master. The knowledge of their role in the group setting.

My Project

Science opens the world of curiosity and inquiry. Hands on science experiments are at the heart of our learning! Tables allow students to work collaboratively. Our class needs 6 tables to be able to work in Project Based Learning groups. Teamwork and responsibility are are cultivated and encouraged with group seating. This collaborative learning center allows our science class to be more engaging. Our individual chair desks do not invite easy transition to partner talk and team talk. We strive for personal accountability in a group setting. These life skills will benefit our students as a life skill as we prepare our students for college or career.
