Our classroom is located in the heart of F. County. My classroom is a lively life skills classroom servicing 11 students with special needs. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing they all have in common; they all come to school to learn and have fun!
My students are transition age and need to experience many different types of jobs they may choose to pursue in the future.
They have disabilities such as Down Syndrome, autism, Cerebral Palsy and intellectual disabilities. Many of them are in wheel chairs and/or are non-verbal. This doesn't stop them though. They are planning to get jobs when they graduate and they need your help!
My Project
My life skills students need pre-vocational skills before they enter the workforce. Activities such as sorting, matching, assembling, and order filling are important for them to experience so they are prepared for the task.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student vocational skills, you will ultimately help them attain their transition goals.
There are many pre-vocational supply companies where the activities come assembled, but are expensive. I'm willing to do the work, I just need supplies to make this project a reality for my students now and in the years to come.
