My students are working very hard to acquire Spanish, their second language. Shouldn't they be provided with proper examples of the written language?
I work in a public school in Southern Arizona.
I see over 350 students each week. Though some of them speak Spanish at home or have been exposed to the language, most of them are learning it for the first time and their only exposure to Spanish is in my class.
My Project
I am asking for some Cricut cartridges that will brighten up the bulletin boards, student work wall, and graphic organizers. Accent marks, upside down question and exclamation marks, and some of the letters in the Spanish alphabet are new to the students. I would like them to have concrete examples showing how they are used. The Ole Cricut cartridge will help me to show them how to properly read and write in Spanish. I have also added tools to maintain my Cricut machine and some seasonal and scholastic cartridges that will bring life to our room and to learning.
With these Cricut cartridges, I will be able to show my students the written language of Spanish.
I can show them how a simple accent mark can change the entire meaning of a word, strengthen their Spanish reading and writing skills, and add fun visuals that will help students make connections to their learning.
