Help me give my students jerseys for our new boys and girls basketball teams. We will have these screen printed with our school name and logo so that we can compete at district tournaments in style.
This project expired on July 12, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our middle school is a unique 3-story building that first opened its doors in 1977, but what makes our school special are the students and teachers that fill it each day. Our school is a mix of two neighborhood communities: one middle-class, and the other more impoverished. Many of our students come from stable homes, but many of our students also come to us from more difficult circumstances. Our school also houses two units of special education students who spend lots of their day out in regular education classes.
Compared to other neighboring middle schools, we have a more diverse population and more students eligible for free or reduced lunch, but our test scores are consistently higher.
The staff works hard to challenge the students to their full potential, and the kids rise to the expectations. We love to learn and have fun doing it. We work hard, and we play hard!
For the past several years, middle schools in our district have only been allowed to have cross country, chess, and debate teams. After much lobbying, we are now adding one more- basketball! Our new boy and girl basketball teams need school jerseys to wear so that we can compete in style. After they arrive, we will have them screen printed with our school name and logo.
We have not had a basketball team at our school in 5 years, and we are looking forward to providing a team experience and instilling pride in our students through the sport.
Our students are excited about having a basketball team and cannot wait to start. Your generous donations are needed to help provide this experience.
