Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My Kindergarten students are eager learners who attend school in a high-poverty STEM school district in Texas. Over 85% of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. All of my students receive free breakfast. My students are sweet, happy children who are excited about learning. Kindergarten begins the foundation of learning academic and social skills which will carry the students successfully through their academic years. I want to provide resources to help my students have a successful year in Kindergarten!

My Project

Kindergarten is an important year in building a strong academic foundation in a child. My students are expected to learn and master many high-level Reading and Math concepts by the end of the year.

My Kindergarten students need Reading and Math Journals to reinforce and practice academic concepts and skills learned in class.

The Daily Language Practice Journals will provide a structured format for my students to practice Reading and Language Arts concepts daily. The Daily Math Practice Journals will also provide a quick and comprehensive format for my students to reinforce previously learned concepts and skills. The Reading Comprehension Daily Practice Journals will allow for differentiation for my high-level readers. My students will enjoy using these Journals to reinforce their knowledge of Reading and Math concepts and to show what they know!
